Plain-language summary: TicTali was made by an independent developer to help young children understand time. I do not sell, rent or trade personal data, I do not create my own profiles of children, and there is no TicTali account.
1. Controller and contact
TicTali is provided by Carlos García Torres. Privacy enquiries can be made through the private channels described on the support page. The contact address supplied privately to Apple and Google remains available to their review teams, but is not published on this website.
2. Data stored on the device
Routines, settings, chosen durations and timer preferences are stored locally. TicTali has no first-party server receiving this information.
If an adult chooses a gallery image or takes a photo for a custom activity, the app keeps a private copy on the device. It is not uploaded to a TicTali server.
3. Location and weather
Location is used only to display weather, sunrise and sunset and to adapt the visual scene.
- Internet-based approximate location: TicTali may ask ipwho.is for an approximate area based on the connection. This version does not request GPS access.
- Manual location: an adult can choose a point on the map; the selected point is saved locally.
The coordinates needed for weather are sent to Open‑Meteo. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap. A place name may be resolved by the operating system's geocoding services. TicTali does not use location for advertising.
4. Advertising and consent
TicTali uses Google AdMob and Google's consent platform where applicable. Ad requests receive child-directed treatment and have a maximum G content rating. The adult configuring TicTali can respond to the privacy choices required in their region.
Google and its authorized vendors may process technical information—such as IP address, basic device information, permitted identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostics—to deliver, limit, measure and protect advertising, depending on consent and applicable law. See Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob privacy information.
When Google determines that these choices apply, the adult can reopen them from TicTali settings and may purchase the remove-ads option.
5. Purchases and notifications
Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play; TicTali receives only the status needed to recognize the purchase. Timer notifications are local and scheduled only when an adult enables the option and grants permission.
6. Camera and photos
The camera or photo library opens only after an adult explicitly selects that option. Permissions can be withdrawn in device settings. Routine photos remain on the device.
7. Children and safety
TicTali is designed for an adult to configure routines and place the device where a child can watch them. It does not ask children for a name, email address, birth date, contacts or account information. Links, purchases, permissions and privacy settings are intended for the adult.
8. Retention and deletion
Local data remains until it is deleted in the app, the app is uninstalled or the operating system removes it. External services apply their own retention periods. Delete custom photos and routines inside TicTali; withdraw permissions in device settings.
9. International transfers and rights
The providers identified above may operate internationally and apply their own legal safeguards. Depending on your country, you may have access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction or complaint rights. As TicTali creates no accounts and keeps no first-party user database, there is normally no personal TicTali profile to associate with a request; you may still contact the developer.
10. Changes
This policy will be updated when features or providers change. The date above identifies the current version.
